Dozens of Shade Trees Along Duri Post Inspection Road Dead

Dozens of shade trees planted along Duri Post Inspection Road Duri Pulo Urban Village, Gambir, Central Jakarta are dead. Those trees were planted in order to make the area greener and beautiful and also prevent the existence of illegal buildings.

It is caused by the condition of land bottom is debris and sediment from the river

Based on beritajakarta.com observation, the trees which were planted in every 5 meters along Duri River look parallel and neat. But the condition of those trees looks withered and brownish.

Duri Pulo Urban Village Head, Nur Komariyah stated, those trees were planted by Central Jakarta Parks and Cemetery Sub-Department about May ago. "Those trees were planted not long ago or precisely at Jakarta anniversary," she told, Wednesday (7/1).

300 Dead Trees in North Jakarta will Be Replaced

Head of Central Jakarta Parks and Cemetery Sub-Department, Themy kendra Putra stated, the trees are not growing due to bad land condition, thus those trees cannot grow well.

"It is caused by the condition of land bottom is debris and sediment from the river," he explained.
